Former professional football player Martijn Barto is a Dutch coach who is currently assistant coach of SC Cambuur. He decided to stop playing professional and focus on his coaching career in 2018. Martijn started his coaching career in the youth academy of SC Cambuur. He coached the Under’19’s and became assistant coach of the first team in 2019. Martijn played for several football clubs as a professional footballer player. He started his career in the youth academy of SC Heerenveen and made his debut in professional football at RKC Waalwijk in 2005. Furthermore he played for Helmond Sport, Harkemase Boys and SC Cambuur.
